Mark your calendars! The 79th Annual McDowell Junior Livestock Show is set for August 1st & 2nd, 2025, and we’re excited to once again highlight the hard work and dedication of our local youth in agriculture. Held right here in McDowell County, this event brings together families, students, and community members to celebrate the importance of livestock, responsibility, and rural traditions.

Participants are reminded that the early entry deadline is July 31, 2025. Entries submitted after this date will be accepted but will incur a $5 late fee per entry, so be sure to get those forms in on time!
Whether you’re showing an animal, cheering on a neighbor, or supporting as a sponsor, this is a great opportunity to connect with the agricultural roots of our county and support the next generation of farmers and leaders. We look forward to seeing you there!
