We are excited to announce that Adeline Thomas of McDowell 4-H has received the McDowell 4-H college scholarship for 2025. This is a $500 scholarship to help towards college expenses. This scholarship was set up with McDowell County to help McDowell students and 4-Hers with their college careers.
Adeline also will receive two scholarships from North Carolina 4-H. She earned the:
Charles Messer Beef 4-H Scholarship for WNC Youth for $800 and
John C. and Cathy H. McLean 4-H Scholarship for $2000.
Adeline will is a 2025 graduate of the McDowell Early College and will be attending Appalachian State University in Boone this fall.
