4-H youth giving a presentationOn Saturday July 25th, 4-Hers from across Western North Carolina came to A-B Tech Community College in Asheville for the annual West District Activity Day. There were outdoor cooking presentations, science presentations and many more.

Greylan Kellogg from McDowell presented on Tornados in the Environmental Science Category. Greylan did awesome and came home with a gold medal for his efforts.

Greylan will now move on to state competition in Raleigh on July 16th. Congratulations we are all so proud of your work and accomplishments. We wish him well as he moves on to the state competition.
