Members of the McDowell County 4-H livestock judging team competed in three contests in March with great success. Addie Dillon, Allison Russell and Jordan Mitchem competed in the University of Tennessee Block and Bridle Livestock Judging Contest, the Kentucky Beef Expo Cattle Judging Contest and the M C Livestock Stockman’s Challenge. Despite not being able to field a full team at the contests, our team members still brought home numerous individual awards. Some of the highlights are as followed:

  • Addie Dillon – 4th overall

Kentucky Beef Expo

  • Jordan Mitchem – 3rd in reasons

M C Livestock Stockmans Challenge

  • Addie Dillon – 7th in cattle, 8th in sheep and goats, 12th overall
