March is National Nutrition Month, but it wasn’t always recognized all month. It started as National Nutrition Week in March of 1973. By 1980, it had become so popular that the House of Delegates decided to make the month of March, National Nutrition Month.

How are some ways you can observe this?
* Set an easy nutrition goal and stick to it; for example: instead of having 3 sodas a day, cut down to 1
* Add a 30 minute walk into your day
*Try replacing processed foods with fresh fruits and vegetables
*Look for a support group, or invite a friend on your journey
*Research meal prepping and give it a try!

There are also tons of healthy tips on the EFNEP website shown below in the Blog section. The USDA also has a great site for nutrition tips and recipes. Choose this March to make some healthy changes for you and those around you. Good luck on your better nutrition journey!
