Tunnel Harvest
The Community Garden Leadership Academy is a free 2.5-day intensive training for community garden leaders, covering community building skills and basic horticulture.
This is a three part training that will take place on the following dates and time:

Rutherford County 2/19/22 9:30 – 3:00

Rutherford County Cooperative Extension:193 Callahan Koon Rd. Spindale, NC

McDowell County 3/5/22 9:30 – 3:00

McDowell Senior Center: 100 Spaulding Rd. Marion, NC

Ruff’ton Roots Community Garden- 4/2/22 9:30- 12:30

128 Hospital Drive, Rutherfordton, NC

We are providing a place-based certificate training for gardeners in North Carolina interested in building their community organizing and leadership skills to support community gardens. This training covers the basic skills to start and sustain community gardens.

Registration for the event is online.

This event is free. Participation is open to new and experienced garden leaders, or anyone who wants to mentor and support community gardens in Rutherford, McDowell and surrounding counties.
