NC Farmers of the Foothills logoLooking to reach new markets? Would you like to see more of your fresh, local produce being enjoyed in the region where it was grown?

The NC Farmers of the Foothills is a newly formed producer group looking to pool resources and market their goods to the community. An online market, NC Farmers of the Foothills, will list products available for consumers and wholesalers to purchase. A 6-week summer Community Supported Agriculture will start at the end of June. There are also other local food purchasing programs that the online market will serve. Farmer membership fee is $100 which allows you to have your products available to consumers 24/7.

The Foothills Food Hub is currently under construction. By summer, cooler storage will be available as well as a packing area. The space will be available to farmer members. The NC Farmers of the Foothills will stage the CSA at the Foothills Food Hub.

Building a resilient food system is imperative. Join the NC Farmers of the Foothills and help make local food easily accessible to all. Call 828-652-8104 or email Molly Sandfoss to learn more. Funding for this initiative was provided by the McDowell Endowment.
