Apple season is in full swing and continues into October! Since 1996, October has been known as National Apple Month, with Apple Day recognized on October 21st! We are fortunate to live in and around many apple orchards. Whether you like them sweet or sour, there are plenty to choose from. And with the weather cooling down a bit, it's always a fun activity to load the kids up and visit a pick your own apples orchard. Be sure to check their website before going for times and any events going on. Celebrate this Apple Month with this Cinnamon Apple Crisp recipe from NC EFNEP. It will be sure to become one of your favorites! Enjoy!
