The Master Gardeners of McDowell County will present a program on Introduction to Fermentation featuring Cathy Hohenstein, R.D., Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences. Cathy's Extension programs focus on Food Safety & Preparation, and Nutrition.
Fermentation is a way of preserving foods that can be done at home. It includes vegetables and fruit, yogurt, kimchi, kombucha and sauerkraut.
