In 1937, June was declared National Dairy Month to promote dairy products. Dairy is an important part of our diet, giving us calcium for our bones and protein for our muscles. We need to thank the farmers, who work 365 days a year raising dairy cattle, to provide us with milk. Dairy can be consumed in many different ways. You can always drink it, make a smoothie, or eat it with cereal. You can eat all the cheeses! You can freeze it and have ice cream. You can pick out your favorite flavor of yogurt and enjoy it as a snack. Here is a fun and easy recipe to celebrate National Dairy Month with the kids! Enjoy!
