Advisory Leadership Council: Guiding the Way to Community Growth

Our Advisory Leadership Council plays a crucial role in shaping the educational programs offered at theN.C. Cooperative Extension, McDowell County Center. Comprising community members who share a commitment to informal educational efforts for community well-being, the council meets three times per year to strategize and plan. As a council member, you'll have the chance to influence the direction of our educational initiatives, ensuring they address the specific needs and interests of our diverse community.

Responsibilities of Advisory Leadership Council Volunteers:
  1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with fellow council members to identify key focus areas and educational priorities for the McDowell County Center.
  2. Program Support: Contribute your skills and time to help organize, execute, and evaluate educational programs and events.
  3. Advocacy: Serve as ambassadors for the County Center by advocating for its importance to elected officials and the broader community.
