On Saturday, August 12, almost two hundred 4-Hers from Western North Carolina met at Polk County Gun Club for the West Region 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament.  Youth competed in rifle, shotgun, archery, muzzleloading and pistol.  This is a qualifying tournament for the NC 4-H State Shooting Sports Tournament to be held in Ellerbe, NC on September 30th.  Luke Lawing was the overall champion of the day in compound archery and match archery.
