The NC Mountain State Fair is right around the corner. Now is the time to start entering exhibits in the 2024 NC Mountain State Fair. If you think your artwork, baked goods, garden products, livestock, and more are ribbon-worthy, then don’t miss this year’s entry deadlines.
The Pony Express provides transportation of Entries to and from McDowell County to the NC Mountain State Fair for judging and display.
Participation is Easy
What you need to do:- Enter Online before August 23, 2024, and print the entry form. (non-perishable items only) Enter via FairWire (If you need assistance with the online entry, we can assist you in the office).
- Bring your entries on or before August 26 to the McDowell County Center, 60 East Court Street, Marion.
- Entries should be wrapped & packed securely for transport. Label your box with your name and county. Also include a completed entry form inside the box with your items.
After the Fair:
- Items will be returned to your local Extension Office by September 27th, 2024.
- Any prize money will be mailed directly to you. (Must provide Social Security number on a NC Substitute W-9 to receive payment.)
