Collapse ▲First off I want to wish everyone the best in these unprecedented times. I have seen several of our 4-Hers working hard volunteering in the community and helping your neighbors. I am so proud of each and every one of you. I hope everyone is safe and starting to get back to “normal”.
We have had a outpouring of support from all over the country. From donations, to well wishes to support. We had a 4-H group reach out that is interested in starting 4-H “Pen Pals”, 4-Hers from McDowell can connect with 4-Hers from another state through online communication. If anyone is interested in starting that and getting involved please let me know and I will get it set up. Just email Chad at chad_ray@ncsu.edu.
Also if there are any 4-H families that are needing supplies please let me know, We have had coats donated from Maryland 4-H and blankets that came from a FFA group in New Jersey. If you or your family needs anything please let me know.
We are also looking to use donations to set up camp scholarships and money for our kids to attend 4-H events. The 4-H family is large and we have really felt their support through this time. Again if there is anything you need please let us know!!!!
