Master Gardener℠ Volunteer Association of McDowell County Scholarship
We all know college is NOT cheap. College is a commitment for both you and your pocketbook. To help ease the pain, the Master Gardener℠ Volunteer Association of McDowell County offers a scholarship to McDowell County residents or students who have attended McDowell County schools. You must also have been accepted into an accredited school program.Scholarships will be awarded based upon the completed application and an interview (if necessary). Priority will be given to applicants majoring in the field of agricultural sciences. One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,000.
You must complete the sections of this application and forward it to a person to complete the Applicant Appraisal form. You may select a teacher, and employer, or any other person who has the ability to evaluate you according to the criteria. You are also responsible for collecting and submitting all supporting documents listed on the Application Checklist. This application becomes valid when it and all supporting documents have been received.
Applications must be submitted and received no later than Monday, March 28, 2024. You may Submit the completed application to:- Pat Gross, Counselor, McDowell High School

McDowell 4-H & McDowell Youth Foundation
McDowell 4-H and McDowell Youth Foundation each also offer a $500 scholarship for students in McDowell County. These are due May 15.
