McDowell Young Guns Compete at District Competition

On Saturday March 18th the McDowell 4-H Young Guns traveled to Catawba Valley Wildlife Club to compete in the District 8 North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission Youth Hunter Education Tournament.  Teams competed against school teams from all over our area.  Competitors competed it events that included .22 rifle, shotgun, archery and hunting skills.

Our youth worked really hard and represented us very well.

Competing for the junior team was Gracie Davis, Hayden Edwards, Bryson McDaniel, Liam Thomas and Brady Keller.

Competing on the senior team was Gunner Dietrich, Garrison Dietrich, Eva Thomas, Parker Cooper, and Kaylen Best.

Our Young Guns group will start meeting again in mid June to prepare for the regional 4-H Tournament to be held August 12th at Polk County Gun Club.
