Franklin County 4-H’er attends National 4-H Congress

Emma Haynes a Franklin County 4-H’er and current NC 4-H State Officer for Member Engagement had the opportunity to attend the 2023 National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Georgia. Emma had the following to say about her trip.

“National 4-H Congress was an unforgettable trip! I learned how to two step from a Texan, how to swing dance, and had an eye-opening conversation with a girl from Puerto Rico. I even learned how to dance like I was back in the 1800s. I met so many people from all over the United States and its territories. My favorite part of the whole trip would be either meeting Amberley Snyder, a barrel racer/motivational speaker, or learning about the different cultures throughout the world. During our time at the Coca-Cola Museum we tried a plum Fanta drink from China and learned very quickly thatwe didn’t like it. It tasted a lot like watered down barbecue sauce. There is no doubt I will remember this trip for the rest of my life.”

Emma, we are so glad you had a great experience and you were able to learn many things from this trip.
