Over 30 years ago, Congress deemed September as National Rice Month to encourage more people to have rice in their diet. According to USARICE.com, there are 15 essential vitamins and mineral in whole grain rice. Half of your grains should be whole grain, which provides more fiber, helps lower blood pressure and keeps you full longer so you consume lower amounts of food.
