The much-anticipated 78th Annual McDowell Junior Livestock Show is just around the corner, promising a fun and educational experience for the whole community. This year's event will feature a diverse range of livestock exhibited by our talented local youth, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and rabbits.
Scheduled to take place on August 2nd & 3rd, the livestock show is a cornerstone event that celebrates the hard work and dedication of young farmers. The show not only highlights the importance of livestock in our daily lives but also fosters a spirit of healthy competition among the youth. It's a perfect opportunity for the community to come together, support our young farmers.
There have been some changes made this year.
Pigs, Sheep, Goats, and Cattle must enter using the Showman App.
Poultry & Rabbits must enter using the Google Doc.
Early entry deadline is July 26th. Entries will be accepted the day of the show; However, there will be an additional $5 per animal fee added.
