Calling all Young Chefs ages 11-18! Pizza is considered America’s favorite food and chances are it is one of yours as well. While you can get great pizza from many local vendors nothing beats fresh, homemade pizza – we have the class for all you pizza lovers. Sign your child up for the Pizza Making Workshop at North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way, Barco NC 27917,  April 8, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. This evidence-based, interactive youth program is designed to promote food science, food safety, and the art and science of perfect pizza dough. We will use hands-on activities and group facilitated learning to teach youth about the science behind pizza preparation in a fun and memorable way so that your youth will be confident and excited about using these skills. 

This is a hybrid (face-to-face and live stream) workshop providing multiple avenues for youth to participate. Participants may register to attend one of these workshops:

Onsite – (6 spaces available ages 11-18) –  $10

Virtual with supplies provided (12 spaces available ages 8-18) – $10 

Virtual with supply list provided (30 spaces available ages 8-18)  Free

Reserve your child’s seat today by first completing the class registration and payment at https://pizzamakingworkshop.eventbrite.com and then complete your child’s 2021 4-H Online enrollment at 4-H Online. Class size is limited and full registration, including payment, and 4-H Online enrollment is required to hold your child’s spot. We will gladly help you complete your online registration. Please feel free to call us at 252-232-2262, and we will walk you through the process. If you or your child is interested in joining us for other classes check out go.ncsu.edu/currituckeventbrite or the Currituck County website.

Currently, in-person classes require masks to be worn for the duration of the class without exception. If you arrive without a mask one will be provided for you. We ask all participants to maintain six feet of distance while on the premises. We are following the current North Carolina mandates.
