Learning to eat smart, move more, and stay healthy takes practice! Don’t be discouraged if you don’t meet your healthy eating or exercise goals every week, but do work toward turning those goals into habits!
Be S.M.A.R.T when setting goals. Goals need to be Specific – focus on one change to make. They need to be Measurable – decide how you will track your progress. Achievable – don’t set yourself up for failure, but do push yourself. Goals should be Realistic – they need to fit into your lifestyle. And lastly, goals should be Time-based – give yourself a deadline to motivate you to accomplish the goal.
One way you can push yourself to meet goals is through accountability–tell a friend or spouse what your goals are and have them check in with you regularly to help keep you on track! Following these tips should have you achieving your goals in no time.
