NC State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) has a new podcast titled Farms, Food, and You.

Animal science, applied ecology, poultry science, biological and agricultural engineering, food, bioprocessing and nutrition sciences, molecular and structural biochemistry, agriculture and human sciences, agriculture and resource economics, crop and soil science, horticulture science, entomology and plant pathology, and plant and microbial biology are what make up CALS.

The new podcast will examine food and the ins and outs of getting it on our plates, which is more complicated than we consider when we are eating that ear of sweet corn. COVID-19 has impacted our food industry in unprecedented ways presenting obstacles never encounter previously. NC State is very involved in all aspects of our food supply, from the soil to how to cook, wash, and store our meat. CALS staff and faculty will offer up research-based information on a plethora of topics.
